Red Lantern Analytica strongly condemns the latest attempt to challenge India’s territorial sovereignty through the arbitrary renaming of locations in Arunachal Pradesh.

Such unilateral actions cannot alter established ground realities or confer legitimacy upon territorial claims. The repeated use of administrative nomenclature and cartographic exercises to advance contested claims is deeply concerning and risks further complicating efforts to maintain stability and mutual understanding along the India–China boundary. India has consistently rejected these attempts and affirmed that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral and inalienable part of India.

We believe that territorial disputes must be addressed through established diplomatic mechanisms, dialogue, and respect for existing agreements, rather than through unilateral measures intended to reinforce contested narratives.

At a time when India and China have sought to manage tensions and preserve channels of engagement, actions that unnecessarily inflame territorial sensitivities are counterproductive to regional stability.
