Statement condemning unnecessary comments from Chinese State-owned Media over Indian elections

We unequivocally condemn the egregious interference by People’s Republic of PRC (PRC) officials in India’s internal affairs and the audacious remarks regarding India’s election environment and the Indian sovereign territory of Arunachal Pradesh. PRC’s persistent attempts to meddle in India’s domestic affairs are not only reprehensible but also indicative of a blatant disregard for international norms and principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Indian democratic process stands as a testament to our commitment to upholding the principles of democracy, transparency, and accountability, unlike the authoritarianism of the PRC. A tyrannical country like PRC which has no understanding of people’s participation in electing leadership but rather imposes its decisions on its people, has no authority to comment on India’s pious democratic process. Any attempt to cast doubt on the integrity of India’s electoral system is not only unfounded but also disrespectful to the aspirations of the Indians.

PRC’s delusional claims over Arunachal Pradesh are utterly absurd and will not be entertained by the Indian government or the Indian people. Furthermore, India’s sovereignty over Arunachal Pradesh is non-negotiable and indisputable and any attempt to question or challenge this fact is a clear affront to India’s territorial integrity. Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India and anyone’s malicious attempt to call it by cooked-up names will not change the truth. Also, Arunachal Pradesh doesn’t require any kind of recognition from any third party that is trying to meddle in India’s sovereign affairs.

India remains committed to peaceful coexistence and the principles of international law. India is trying to bring peace and tranquillity to the Indo-Tibetan border but it is PRC’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) that time and again violates the 1996 agreement and led to this situation.  PLA under the direction of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is not at all trustworthy and has time and again betrayed India’s trust. PRC’s belligerent actions then, and its continued provocative behaviour along the border now, serve as a stark reminder of its expansionist ambitions and disregard for peaceful coexistence.

Finally, PRC which is heavily involved in disinformation and propaganda campaigns against other countries and regularly censors truth; has no right to comment on Indian media’s attention towards aggressive PRC

We strongly urge the CCP, and its mouthpiece “The Global Times”, to refrain from any unrequired comments and reckless provocations against India.
